Death Pool statistics

I run a Death Pool, where people bet on which celebrities will die in the coming year. I’ve done this since 2003. In that time:

—I’ve correctly predicted 30 deaths.
—From my 2004 list, only one person is still alive: Gloria Stuart.
—I’ve only removed three people from old lists (all of which are still alive): Bil Keane, Annette Funicello and Jack LaLanne (back on the list now).
—2004 was a banner year for me, not just in quantity, but also from the fact that I got three correct guesses in one week: Fay Wray (Aug. 8), Julia Child (Aug. 13) and Czeslaw Milosz (Aug. 14).
—Yet I have not won the Death Pool since 2004, having been foiled every year since. Curses!

I’m incredibly morbid.
